Honey Glazed Cooked Ham2023-03-04

This recipe applies to a ham that has already been boiled.
Remember, before cooking it, to soak it in cold water overnight; to remove excess salt.
This savoury and sweet ham is perfect for festive days and one of the easiest ways to feed a crowd.
Serve it with all the trimmings and perfect roasties.
- Joint cooked ham - over 1 kg
- 3 tbsp of honey + 3 tbsp of sugar
- 1 tbsp of English mustard (or Dijon mustard)
- 1 tsp of white pepper
- Few whole cloves to cover the ham
Remove the skin from the cooked ham. With a sharp knife, make diagonal cuts across all the fat without cutting into the lean meat.
Mix the honey, sugar, white pepper and mustard then spread the mixture thoroughly all over the ham. Now put a whole clove into each intersection. Bake at 200 C for more or less 30 minutes, basting frequently.
