    Wash the oranges, then pat them dry. On a cutting board, using a sharp knife, cut off the top and bottom of each orange, then slice away the peel and white pith.

    Once all oranges are peeled, slice them into rounds (not too thin) and arrange in a circle on a serving platter. Top each slice with berry preserve or compote, drizzle with the berry sauce, and scatter slivered almonds over the top. Refrigerate and serve cold.
