    Wash the lentils, then cook them in unsalted water until tender but not mushy. Drain and set aside to cool.

    In a salad bowl, combine the other ingredients, then add the lentils and mix well. Adjust the seasoning if needed. The salad is ready.

    In another bowl, toss the prawns with garlic powder, hot smoked paprika, white pepper, salt, and a squeeze of lemon.

    Heat the olive oil in a pan over high heat and cook the prawns for 2 or 3 minutes until pink. Remove from the pan to cool.

    Finally, place the prawns on top of the lentil salad and serve.
