Prepare the marinade by blending the parsley, garlic, chili, white pepper, turmeric, lemon juice, salt, and 1 tbsp olive oil until smooth. Mix with the chicken strips and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

Place a frying pan over medium heat. When hot, add 2 tbsp olive oil and the marinated chicken strips. Stir-fry for a few minutes, until the chicken is cooked.

Meanwhile, spread the rocket on a serving platter, top with the warm chicken, scatter the chickpeas and freshly ground black pepper over the top, and drizzle with olive oil. Serve immediately.
